That's to be expected in Vegas, sure, but the hotel doesn't seem to be built to deaden the nose at all. Then in the middle of the night our upstairs neighbors came in and pounded on the floor for a few hours. Saturday night there was a concert outside and an incredible amount of noise. The whole room shook, but luckily the concert was over by 7pm. The Tank at the Golden Nugget Casino provides an escape to a tropical environment amidst the desert heat. Friday night there was a concert under us in the building. We were surprised to see men in g-strings and women in pasties wandering around for tips for photos. And if you are going with young children (we didn't.) You may want to check Fremont Street out without them first. Actually, I think I'll stay off Paradise road if I decide not to stay on the Strip. People say it's the best hotel in Downtown, but I think I'd try Main Street Station next time. Table games were usually $10 and up (you can go to the Strip for that!) Check in was packed and the concierge was rude to my husband when he asked for a dinner recommendation.
The pool was cool with the shark tank in the center, but really very small. Several family members raved about the Golden Nugget so we decided to stay there at $189 per night before resort fees.
