Every weekend, The Golden Nugget oversells and then cancel reservations so that they can re-sale rooms at a higher rate or offer free complimentary rooms to their VIP guests. Here's the reservation scam that was confidentially shared with me. As a matter of fact, he simply shrugged his shoulders and offered no apologies or solution to what was the worse hotel nightmare I'd ever experience.
He was completely unbothered that my family and friends were arriving for my birthday. All he seemed interested in were dollars and could care less that I traveled over 200 miles only to be turned away. My initial shock quickly turned into anger when I was rudely and arrogantly dismissed by this revenue manager, Daniel. Shocked and confused, can't begin to describe how I felt until I met Daniel, the revenue manager. However, when I arrived from Texas this past weekend to celebrate my birthday with family and friends, I was casually informed my reservation was canceled and the hotel was completely booked. First, my reservations were made in early July and the deposit prepaid (per Travelocity).
Listen, I've traveled all over the world and have never experienced the reservation scam the Golden Nugget practice.
